Telemetry

There is an increasing emphasis on obtaining physiological signals for longer periods of time and in conditions unhindered by anesthesia or restraint.

Telemetry Research implements digital data transmission and wireless inductive power charging in its physiologic monitoring systems. The result is a system with the power to enable lifetime 24/7 digital data from implanted transmitters in free-roaming conscious animals.

Millar is proud to offer a range of Telemetry Research systems for measuring Pressure, Biopotentials such as ECG, and Sympathetic Nerve Activity(SNA) in small and large animals.

The following components are available individually, or as a special package which provides everything you need to begin your telemetry research:

TRANSMITTER

A small implantable Transmitter which senses, processes and transmits pressure and other physiological information via telemetry from within the animal. Transmitters are completely implantable and rechargeable within the animal.

RECEIVER
A Receiver which can capture digital data from multiple transmitters at up to 5m range in one location.
WIRELESS POWER CHARGER
A unique patented in-vivo recharging system which enables long-term monitoring.
POWERLAB® DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEMS
Integrated acquisition and analysis package featuring PowerLab® hardware and LabChart® software to fast track your research.
TELEMETRY APPLICATIONS

Pressure - measure arterial, left ventricular, ocular, uterine, venous, and pleural pressure in all animals > 200g

SNA - measure high fidelity sympathetic nerve activity in free-roaming conscious animals

Biopotential - measure ECG, EMG, EEG, or any voltage signal and temperature
