Millar Instruments Increases Worldwide Distribution of Research Cardiovascular Products through Sales and Marketing Pact with ADInstruments

Houston, Texas – November 7, 2003—Millar Instruments, Inc., developer and manufacturer of Mikro-Tip® pressure transducer catheters and pressure-volume (P-V) systems, and ADInstruments Pty. Ltd., developer and manufacturer of data acquisition and analysis systems for life science research, announced they have entered into a worldwide distribution agreement, expanding ADInstruments’ role in selling Millar’s cardiovascular research product line.

“The global sales and marketing collaboration between Millar and ADInstruments will be mutually beneficial. Millar will strengthen its existing world-wide sales infrastructure, gaining access to ADInstruments’ global distribution network focused on the cardiovascular research market. ADInstruments will be able to provide their customers complete hemodynamic research solutions," said Steve Price, director of sales and marketing at Millar Instruments.

Rory Geoghegan, director of sales and marketing at ADInstruments, said "ADInstruments has a strong history of providing recording solutions to cardiovascular researchers. The addition of Millar catheters to our catalogue will give our customers direct access to leading edge sensor technology which will complement our PowerLab® recording systems. Both companies will be exhibiting at the American Heart Association’s Scientific Sessions 2003 in Orlando, Florida, November 9-12, 2003. Millar Instruments will be exhibiting in booth 1336 and ADInstruments in booth 357.
